PPR requests
Pilots must make a PPR request (prior permission required) online before every take-off and landing. Included in the online application are both the customs declaration and the airport briefing. Please read the information below carefully.

Customs declarations for international flights
This application for a cross-border flight must be filled out according to the general customs regulations, instructions from the customs authority and/or authorising bodies. Incomplete applications can not be accepted.
Applications must have been sent latest 3 hours before the planned landing or 2 hours before the planned take-off in Gstaad.

Airport Briefing
Gstaad Airport (LSGK) is situated in a mountainous region near Gstaad, Switzerland. With the approach to Gstaad Airport being so demanding, pilots must be familiar with the airport briefing that has been established for this purpose. Pilots wishing to fly into LSGK must be familiar with the various peculiarities associated with the air traffic operations into and out of LSGK.
- Uncontrolled airport
- Relatively short landing runway with nearby obstacles around and along its axes
- Airport altitude of 3284 ft / AMSL
- Non-standard traffic pattern
- Intensive glider activity (July and August)

Drone flights within a radius of 5 km of the Saanen airfield with drones weighing 250 grams or more require a permit.
This permit can be applied for at the airfield, please use the following form:
