Prerequisites for flying online

• A gaming PC with internet connection
• A headset with mic (optional) for vhf communication
• A Flightsimulator (FS2002, FS2004 or X-Plane)
• A special Pilots' client software such as Squawkbox or FSInn
• Basic skills of the English language

Is VATSIM suitable for you?

Next to a certain experience with Personal Computers (or Macs) you should be ready to learn something new.
As soon as you'r connected with the network, you must accept VATSIM's rules and you should not disturb other pilots with your actions.
It's a main goal of VATSIM to simulate the aviation world as realistically as possible - This should be YOUR goal as well!
In order to make your way as simple as possible, vACC Switzerland has set up a Pilots Training Department. Do not hesitate and contact us - even with questions not referring to our courses.

Before you can subscribe to vACC Switzerlend, you must create your account with VATSIM. This can be done here.
After the successful registration with VATSIM, subscribe here with vACC Switzerand, either as pilot, or as Controller, or as both.
After completion of that, we warmly recommend you to read the "First Steps" which is an excellent Start point for your online carreer
